Jimmy is gone!

Yesterday we had someone come buy our Jimmy. It was kinda sad to see it go. It got us out here to CA and we had it a long time. About 5 years it think, and we got a wopping $400 for it. It needed a new transmission among other things and it was a headache from day one! So, it was nice to get something for it! The guy won't get much of a profit out of selling it, because it has to get registered in CA yet and that might require more work on the exhaust system!

We gave him his gifts on Sat. night, Sunday we went to Hometown Buffet, and tonight we are going caroling at nursing homes with the church. So, we made it a 3 day event this year and we will get pictures up later in the week of this weekend for you all to see what he got! Enjoy!!!

Cars

We got this For MaKayla's Birthday I just forgot to put a review up here for it! A very good movie for kids and adults. Has a great lesson about responsibility and respecting those around you that have helped you in your life. The kids have watched it a bunch of times already. Would highly recommend it for your families. I've said this before, Pixar and Disney really know how to deliver when it comes to family entertainment. Good Christmas gift if you need a last minute filler for someone!!!

Hands

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
In Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
In Roger Clemens’ hands is worth $4.75 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.
A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
In Andre Agassi’s hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
In Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
In David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
In Jesus’ hands they will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
In Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.
As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends whose hands it's in.
This message is now in YOUR hands.
What will YOU do with it?
It Depends on WHOSE Hands it's in!

KFC From Outerspace

NEW YORK (Reuters) - From space, extraterrestrials and astronauts can look back to earth and see The Great Wall of China -- and KFC's Colonel Sanders.

The KFC Corp. on Tuesday launched a rebranding campaign with an 87,500 square-foot image of Colonel Sanders in the Nevada desert which the company says makes Kentucky Fried Chicken the world's first brand visible from space.

"If there are extraterrestrials in outer space, KFC wants to become their restaurant of choice," KFC President Gregg Dedrick said in a statement.

The logo consists of 65,000 one-foot by one-foot painted tile pieces that were assembled like a giant jigsaw puzzle.
"If we hear back from a life form in space today - whether NASA astronauts or a signal from some life form on Mars - we'll send up some Original Recipe Chicken," said Dedrick.

The logo also depicts an updated version of KFC icon Colonel Sanders who wears his signature string tie but with a red apron instead of his classic white double-breasted suit.

The logo was built at the remote Area 51 desert near Rachel, Nevada, which KFC said was known as the UFO capital of the world and famous for its association with UFO conspiracy theories.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MaKayla!!!!!!

Well that time of year again when 3 B-days in the Family come and Christmas is on the heal of it all, with Thanksgiving smashed in between. I hope no one skips over that like the retail people want us too. It is very important to give thanks to GOD for everything he has blessed us this year with. We have a ton to be thankful for. And we hope you enjoy these pics of MaKayla's B-day as much as we do. We had a Harvest Festival at our church on her birthday so it was very special for her!!! There was a bounce house, hay ride, face painting, cake walk, dart game, and many fun things that they loved. We really had a great time and wish more of you could have been there. Mamaw & Papaw came for a short while and we saved her Bible to give to her there! Thank you all for sending things for her and making this day special for her!
More pics will be coming in the next few days. Pics of the PA gifts and the Festival. So look for them over Thanksgiving break!

Barn Project

Here are some pictures that the kids took of me and the barn I was fixing up last month for them to play in this winter! I have finished it for now though there are a few more touch ups that need to be done, and the roof needs to be sealed. But we will see if I get a chance to do it this year! I want to take better pictures to show you the progress, but the sun beats me down from work and I haven't got a chance to take any yet! I should be able to get some by next week.
MaKayla also sang for the church with her class and the younger kids in the school at the church and I added those pics. We will have to show you the video next time we see you guys!
Click on the top picture to see them all and the bottom on you will be able to see bigger if you click on it!

Garfield's a Tale of Two Kittens

We rented this over the weekend and thought it was pretty good. Not as good as the first one of course, but not many sequels are as good as the original movie. It's a movie alone the lines of the prince and the poper story. Where a prince and a poor man switched places and they looked the same, just had way different personalities. It had some funny parts in it, and MaKayla liked it along with the boys, but I don't think it will be one that we buy. But, it is hard to find a movie that is be clean forkids and that the whole family will enjoy. So, if your wanting to rent something and you want something like that this is right up that alley. Enjoy!!!

That time of year again!!!

Wish List
Dec 31, 2012
MARYSVILLE, CA
Registry ID: 26774027975

Well that time of year again when Mom starts asking what we would like for Birthday's (fyi: MaKayla's is 11/10; 9 days before mine) and X-mas!!! I pasted on to her that we have a wish list on walmart.com. Most of that list is movies and in our growth right know we much rather be the ones to decide what movies we would get. So I've been putting cds on the list that we haven't found at the store. I also will put toy ideas up for the kids so keep and eye out for updates and maybe I'll post a blog here when we update the list!!!!

As for me I told Mom that the Xbox has been down since early this year not for any reason, but one day it just stopped working! So, I really would like to get that fixed by the end of this year. And with our focus on paying our debt off this year I really can not bring myself to drop $150 to get it fixed. But if any of you would like to contribute towards that to make it a smaller payment for me that would be a great gift!!!! Mainly because after I get it fixed I'll have a 30 day window to get insurance on the system (which I should have done in the beginning) and I believe that will be an additional $60 for 2 years of insurance. So, if something malfunctions again, in that time frame, then it will be covered!!!

We also put stuff in a Best To You catalog that we will have sent to you guys so watch your mailbox!!! Or you can look at the catalog by going to the site and looking at the Oct. 2006 book. www.besttoyou.com

I also sent you emails from christianbook.com that has veggie tales movies that we don't have yet. Those are always a good thing to get. Sky & Morgan would even like them. They teach good lessons in there short shows!!!!

We found a learning toy for MaKayla in the barn!! I can not find find it on Walmart.com so here is the list of books she has already and the link to get more if you want! She has: Blue's School, School Skill's, Ernie's Neighborhood!

Life Chain

This Sunday we participated in the Life Chain with our church family. I must say it felt good that we were standing up for something especially when it is something that God wants us to stand for as well. The boys stood with me as well. And I feel it made them feel really good, because as kids they hear about bad stuff going on in the world and would love to help but simple can not because they are to young or small. Well this is something that they could do and they may never know what impact they had on someone driving by!!! So, hear are the links for more info on what the Life Chain is all about and we hope you can join us next year standing for children who don't have a voice!!!! I got a chance to talk with Chris Kaufman a photographer from the Appeal-Democrat newspaper, so I put the link here as well!

Bishops Pumpkin Farm

Friday Tina & I got to help out with MaKayla's 1st field trip. It was to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm and it was great. We have plans on going back, with the boys, on a Sunday later this month!!! It was one of the most fun trips that we have taken. Alot for the kids to do!! A Train Ride, Pig Race, Hay Ride, Picking Pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze (Which we didn't do), Mine for Marbles, Giant Slide, and a Petting Zoo. Plus they have a couple of small shops! And it's cheap, I think to do everything it's about $9 a person, but Tina and I won't do the Coyote Mountain!!!! So it will cost us less!!! We took pictures of the Field trip and they will be up on the frickr site. It was Tina's 1st time there as well!!! Well we miss you all and we can not wait until you guys come out so we can have a fun filled week with you!!!!

See you At the Pole 2006'

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. KJV
See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray—for their school, friends teachers, government, and their nation. See You at the Pole™ is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything. See You at the Pole™ is scheduled annually on the fourth Wednesday in September, which is September 27 in 2006. The suggested starting time is 7 a.m. If that doesn't work for your school, choose a time that will work for your school, but let everyone at your school know!

Need more of hollywood to be saved!

This was good to hear, actor Stephen Baldwin is in the news and is now an in your face "Jesus Freak" All I have to say is Amen, and I'm happy to hear that God is working on the hearts of actors in hollywood like this!!!!
The youngest of the famed brothers Baldwin, actor Stephen Baldwin is an in-your-face Jesus-freak who has taken his share of blows professionally, financially and personally since professing his faith about five years ago. Since then, he has gone to bat for President George W. Bush (an overtly radical move in liberal Hollywood), launched two youth ministries (Livin It and Breakthrough Ministry), written several books and shared his faith with his celebrity brothers and even Tom Cruise. Why did he risk fame and fortune for faith? He says it’s simple—really!

Goal!!!!

We rented this and watched this last night! Wow, is what we have to say. What an incredible story and it's just the beginning! Goal 2: Living the dream is in theaters soon, and Goal 3 will not be long after! This story follows Santiago Munz's life from a young boy to getting to a pro team in England! He goes through quite the journey to make it, over coming obstacle after obstacle to just get a chance for someone to see something in him! He had many chances to quit and give up, but his belief in himself came out in others when he needed to be picked up again. I felt inspired by his story, because of my dream for our family and Primerica. I just need to keep going and soon I’ll break through my walls of doubt and score the winning GOAL!!!!!

Long weekend of fun!!!

Saturday we went to a new park in West Sacramento, "Bridgeway Lakes", about 30-40 minutes from the house. That have a water park there instead of the typical swing sets and slides. The kids had a blast and we could have stayed longer, but we only brought enough food for lunch, not dinner. Check out the pics on our flickr site, we would have had more pics but the batteries went dead in our camera!
Sunday we had church and did somethings around the house, chillin out! Monday we had our Annual Church Fish Fry at our church and we got in a long game of flag football with about 10 of our church men and teens and 10 of our church young kids all mixed in. It first looked like a blow out with the red team (Anthony's team, I was on the blue) ahead 2 TDs-0, but we started to get in our grove as a team and tied it up 3-3 with me actually constructing some key drives that ended up in scores. Another teen and I were switching on and off on QB/WR. We connected for a big pass when he was QB on a one of our first drive. Red team left me uncovered and we made them pay for it! But, I didn't see any action as WR after that, they covered me for the rest of the game, plus towards the end I was QB more since I was able to get us down the field a little easier! I just spread the ball around and even ran for some yards to get away from the rush!!! We ended up losing the game 4-3, but we didn't let up with out a fight. All the guys & girls played well and no one got hurt, a couple bumps, but nothing more then that! Praise GOD for a good weekend and fellowship!!

Take the Lead

We rented this over the long weekend and I much say that it was better then I expected! It had some real good teachings in it and you really don't need to be concerned with the language. I don't think there was any really foul words used at all. Which is amazing considering it is a true story from the New York area! I feel it would be real good film if you like positive inspirational stories, with good morals as a focus. We all enjoyed it. Now a days Tina and I are screening the movies before we watch them with the kids. So we saw this one twice and enjoyed watching the kids get something out of it!!!

Back to School

All the kids go to school starting today! Anthony is in 5th grade this year, wow amazing next year he will be half way through school! Christopher is in 3rd grade and MaKayla is going to K4 at our Church Academy! It is our prayer that GOD blesses us enough to get them all into Christian School. We know it would do them so much good in finding what it is GOD put them on earth here to do! Plus at BBCA they have the "BECKA system" which is more advanced then most public schools, and will prepare them for college better! We hope you all enjoy the new pictures that we put up! As usual you can click on the above photo to get to our Flickr site!

New Music

Wanted to post this to encourage you all to give our music links a visit! We are going through some life changing things to get ourselves closer to our LORD! And you'll see the affects hear as we talk about them and notice things changing on the site as well! Our hope is that you start joining us and letting yourselves be open to change in your lives. We know this has been a change that has been in the works for 2-3 years now, for us, and we are so excited about what GOD is doing in our lives right now! So we don't expect to see you change just like that. But, we do look forward to the possibilities that are out there and that GOD knows all and has a plan for all of us! We just have to live our lives everyday to find out what his plan for us is!!!

World Trade Center

This movie came out today and we are looking forward to seeing it! True story of Will Jimeno and John McLoughlin, two Port Authority police officers who rushed into the burning World Trade Center on 9/11 to help rescue people, but became trapped themselves when the tower collapsed. A race against time ensued to free them before their air ran out. And it acts as a reminder for us who might have forgotten about what happened nearly 5 years ago! We will wait til it comes out on DVD and it is one we will be adding to our collection, simply because we lived through this and it changed the way we live so much!!!

Weekend of breakdowns!!!!

This past weekend we had a bunch of things breakdown! Saturday it started with our Jimmy. The boys and I were on our way down for Training in the Sacramento office and I basically lost 4th gear in the Jimmy. I figured that because the RPMs were coming up with curse control on and I had to turn that off so I would blow the engine and then I couldn't go over 50 MPH! So, I stopped at a AM/PM to get ATF and put in 3 qts. After training same thing, couldn't go over 50, and then about 1 mile from the house, after I pulled off the freeway onto Plumas Arboga, I lost 3rd gear. So, we finished our final stretch going 25 MPH. Thank you lord for letting us make it home. So the 1st photo is the new used car we got on Monday! A 2005 KIA Sedona with 3770 miles on it, almost brand new! Click on the photo to see more pics of the car!

Then Sunday we had a boat trip planned to Orville about 1-2 hours from the house! They had a lot of house boat there, a huge lake; about 6+ miles long and it's a damn as well! We didn't get that many photos of up there because Jeff's boat broke down after giving Anthony his first ride on the raft! We spent most of the time trying to fix it and keeping the kids entertained by swimming in a calm part of the lake! The pic of Jeff and Sara is when we were towing them in with Dad's boat! I got hurt around the same time as the boat braking down, because we were in a rougher part of the lake and the boats were going to bump together so I jumped in to push Jeff's away and hit a step that he has on his motor (it is there to make it easier for people to get in)! I didn't know it was there until after I hit it! So, it was a adventurous weekend and we had some fun, but it wasn't without some trials!

Happy Birthday Anthony & Oma!!!!

We got to take a PA trip in June for Oma's 50th & Anthony's 10th Birthday's! We want to thank all of you for the fun we had. It was a busy trip and I don't think we got to see everyone we wanted to, but we got to talk with and spend time with 70-80 of our closes friends and family, and everyone had a hand in making it memorable! We had a lot of time with Mike & April as they were nice enough to have us stay with them for the entire trip. We were in and out visiting people everyday, and they were understanding enough to make us feel right at home doing what we wanted! We can not thank them enough for everything they did for us during our trip, we are truly blessed to have them in our lives as a brother & sister, Uncle & Aunt, and friends!!!! Great job on the house, and achieving Master Electrician (He got his license during our stay)!
Knoebles Party was Awesome!!! The park did an A++ job on getting it ready for the weekend and the picnic/party happened as planned! It was great seeing most everyone make it out to help us celebrate Mom/Oma's birthday and Anthony's birthday! They really felt special that day and you all had a hand in making the day special for them! Enjoy the photos!!!!

Pirate of the Caribbean: DMC

This is the other movie we were able to see! And is was great, Disney pushed the limit as far as PG-13 rating goes, but very funny script, no blood spray or nudity is what kept it out of R rating. MaKayla was scared at some parts, but she sat with Daddy and fell asleep with about an hour left in the movie. The boys had a great time, and I think the fact of theater hoping was cool. We did that one other time in PA where we wanted to see to movies so I took off work and we made a day at the theater. All I'll say about this movie, other then what I've already said is that the adventure isn't over!!!!

Superman Returns

It's been a while since I posted a review and now you get two at the sametime! I'll start with Superman. We saw it yesterday at 1:30pm, and everyone liked it. Special Effects were great, along with the storyline. It did have spots where it moved slow and the MaKayla lost interest, but all and all, it was good! Tina was not really into the idea of it, because she didn't like the previous Superman movies, but she liked this one!!!! Side note: keep your eyes open for the trailer of Spiderman 3 our if you have a fast enough internet connection check it out on Spiderman.com.

Cooling Off!!!!

Here it is our first pool! And what a challenge it has been. We are finally able to enjoy it after a few weeks of work. First I had just set it up right on the ground, without leveling it off. So, when it filled up it was oval shared. We took it down, wasting 2800 gal. of water. Then it took about a week of work to get the sand from back in the field and level it out. Once that was done we filled it up again and it was round. Then, we noticed that the ground on the other side of the pump (in the above pic) was wet and not drying. We figured we would just let it go for a while so the kids could swim in it! Then we had a chemical problem and I put to much of one of the chemicals in and made it unsafe to swim in. Tina fixed that mistake and then the pump quit on us. So we had to buy a new on, the pump in the pic above it a better one then the pump that came with the pool. Just this past weekend on Father's Day we figured we would fix the leak we had. So we emptied it again, patched up the hole and filled it back up, and it still leaks; AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Over the Hedge

We went to see this on Monday after getting Anthony's cast off, kind of like closer for us. We when to see the Wild the day he got them on and so I figured why not now that he got them off! It was great, Dreamworks really does a good job on keeping the parents and the kids into the movie! Very funny and a great message, but I would wait until the DVD comes out. We went to the movies for a different reason then just to see this movie. So, that's my short and sweet advice to you on this one. I don't little spoiling the movies for you, that's why I stay away from telling anything about it.

Xmen III: The Last Stand

What a great movie!!!!! We were about to see this on Sunday afternoon and thought it was done very good!!! Though the movie as a whole has a dark atmosphere to it and some things happen that you wouldn't want, it still was very good. I have to revisit the comic books to refresh my memory on the Pheonix Saga, but off the top of my head it was pretty accurate! Definity glad we watched it on the big screen and would erge anyone on the fence to get the ticket and go!!!! I'm staying way from details about the movie so I don't spoil it for anyone. Just get to the theater and see it while you can!!! Oh, I will tell you that I think there will be more movies of the X-men to come!

BIG DIEHL !!!!

Way to go Dave & Diane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job on hitting the $300,000 income per year mark with your PFS Business! Tina & I are happy for you and know you deserve to be making $1 million per year, because of your commitment level and desire to help everyone in your office and community. Keep plugging away and you'll hit it soon!!!! Thank you for all you have taught us, not only in the business, but in life as well. We love you and will be joining you in the Financial Independence Council book very soon (18 months from now)!!!!

The Wild

We got a chance to see this on Monday after Anthony's Dr. appointment. A great movie for everyone! I thought it would be close to Madagascar, but I was wrong. Way better as far as the messages it sends out and animation, but about just as funny if not a little more!!!! It was a time we were able to spend together as a family and enjoy laughing together. We needed it because we have a tough 6 weeks ahead of us, with Ant being in walking casts! So, as far as a must see in the movie theater, it is not one of those movies! But, it is one that will have a spot in our collection as far as DVDs go!!! Next movie will most likely be X-men III as we are taking care of our finances and need to focus there right now. We will catch up to the movies we want to see once they hit the rental shelf!!!!

Draft News

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Signing the son of actor Denzel Washington on Monday ensured the St. Louis Rams of making a splash the day after the NFL draft ended.

John David Washington, a 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back was among 10 undrafted players signed by the Rams. He played for Division II Morehouse College last year.
"This is all a good story," Rams coach Scott Linehan said. "I hope he's a good running back."
Washington had a school-record 1,198 yards with a 5.6-yard average and nine touchdowns, and added 10 receptions for 69 yards is senior year. He also ended his career as the school's single-game (242 yards) and career (3,699) leading rusher.
Washington led the conference in rushing last season, and was named national player of the week by D2Football.com last season.
Linehan said he didn't know about Washington's famous father until after the Rams became interested in him. Coincidentally, Linehan's brother-in-law, actor Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, just finished a movie with Denzel Washington that is scheduled to come out in about a year.
Linehan joked that Denzel Washington and Caviezel might make a nice little "sideshow" at training camp.
"I hate to tell Jim, but I think most of them will be looking for Denzel's autograph," Linehan said. "But they should start with Jesus first."

Lets Go E-85!!!!!

Henry Ford’s Model “A” was designed to run on either alcohol or gasoline... because Gasoline wasn't readily available.
This photo, taken in April 1933, shows a Lincoln Nebraska gas station of the Earl Coryell Co. selling "Corn Alcohol Gasoline." The test marketing of ethanol blends was common in the Midwest at this time, but it did not succeed due to the market dominance of the major oil companies.

Many countries around the world have millions of vehicle running on alcohol today. The idea of using alcohol for fuel is not new but becoming more attractive to the public as our dependence on gasoline becomes increasingly more expensive.

Most gasoline cars can be converted to alternative fuels with no need for a new or replacement engine. Other benefits include total elimination of smoke. It also contributes to a quieter and smoother running engine. Besides the environmental benefits, Flexfuel combines high performance with economy, making it the best current alternative to gasoline fuels.

Best of all ... Grain alcohol (ethanol) is a renewable fuel, and it is pretty much pollution free, since the by-products of combustion are only water and CO2. Furthermore, it is economical to make, and your car will run cooler, faster, and better on ethanol. It is a home grown fuel and we don't have to import it from the Middle East.
Ethanol (ethyl alcohol, grain alcohol, EtOH) is an alcohol-based alternative fuel produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops that have been converted into simple sugars.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) is a group of chemical compounds whose molecules contain a hydroxyl group, -OH, bonded to a carbon atom. Feedstocks for this fuel include corn, barley and wheat with corn being the most commonly used. Ethanol can also be produced from "cellulosic biomass" such as trees and grasses and is called bioethanol. Ethanol is most commonly used to increase octane and improve the emissions quality of gasoline.

The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 mandated the sale of oxygenated fuels in areas with unhealthy levels of carbon monoxide. Since that time, there has been strong demand for ethanol as an oxygenate blended with gasoline. In the United States each year, more than 1.5 billion gallons are added to gasoline to increase octane and improve the emissions quality of gasoline. In some areas, ethanol is blended with gasoline to form an E10 blend (10% ethanol and 90% gasoline), but it can be used in higher concentrations such as E85 or in its pure form. All automobile manufacturers that do business in the United States approve the use of certain ethanol/gasoline blends. Fuel ethanol blends are successfully used in all types of vehicles and engines that require gasoline. Approval of ethanol blends is found in the owners' manuals under references to refueling or gasoline.
To learn more visit : http://www.ethanolstill.com/ and get educated on all the positives of this and hopefully we get on this fast so we can save money at the pump. If you make you own it brakes down to 65 CENTS PER GALLON vs $3.03 per gallon!!!!!
For us it would mean $11.05 to fill up instead of $51.00!!!

Disgusting Public Acts

When it come to politics I don't have a loud voice, but I will address this. I am not against people coming to America LEGALLY. We have a great country and we came from all over the world to this new land and created this great country for all to share. The only way we will stay great is by putting our foot down and standing on the laws set forth by generations of previous leaders! This Act disgusts me because it shows a lack of appreciation for the USA!!! If you don't like us or our country then GET OUT!!!!!!! Otherwise get legal and stay legal so our country can get back the respect it deserves!!!!

THE AMERICAN FLAG COMES SECOND?
By Michelle Malkin · March 29, 2006 01:15 AM

You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times or on the lead story of the major news networks.
You should.

03/28 : Student protest in Whittier area students from Pioneer, California and Whittier high schools walked out of classes to protest the proposed federal immigration bill March 27, 2006. The protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High.

Meanwhile: Mexico Cheers Passage of Immigration Bill
Like I said: Welcome to reconquista.

I predict this stunt will be the nail in the coffin of any guest-worker/amnesty plan on the table in Washington. The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on Internet forums and via e-mail. Pass this along to every American citizen in your address books and to every representative in the state and federal government. If you choose to remain uninvolved do not be amazed when you no longer have a nation to call your own nor anything you have worked for left since it will be "redistributed" to the activists while you are so peacefully staying out of the "fray". Check history, it is full of nations/empires that disappeared when its citizens no longer held their core beliefs and values. One person CAN make a difference. One plus one plus one plus one plus one plus one.........

The battle for our secure borders and immigration laws that actually mean something, however, hasn't even begun.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

Yard Project!!!

Well you've heard we have had a lot of rain in CA over the first 3 months of the year. And here is and example of what happens when it rains so much and so often! The grass never got a chance to dry off enough for us to cut it and we didn't get a chance to cut it like we should have! So, over the past few days it has been nice and sunny for us to be able to cut it! We started at 10am on Sat. and got finished around 8pm. Pretty much none stop, except to unclog machines and a sandwich that the kids made us!!!!
Enjoy the other picks of the past month on the flickr site, just click on the photo!!!

Time to Move to Ohio!!!

The winning ticket from the $265 million Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night was sold at a local Kroger supermarket, an Ohio Lottery spokeswoman said.

It was the 5th winning Mega Millions ticket purchased in Ohio since June and the first grand prize winner sold in Cincinnati, lottery spokeswoman Mardele Cohen said.

The winning numbers in the 12-state game were 13, 14, 25, 34 and 50. The Mega Ball was 6.
In addition to the grand prize winner, 21 tickets, including two purchased in Ohio, matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball for prizes of $250,000 each.

Another 109 tickets, including four from Ohio, matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball for third prizes of $10,000 each.

The last Mega Millions winner from Ohio claimed the $270 million prize — the biggest lottery jackpot won in the state — anonymously by forming a trust.

The winning ticket from the Feb. 28 drawing was sold in Lyons, a farming village of about 600 people 30 miles west of Toledo.

The Greatest Game Ever Played

This movie is great! We got this for ourselves for Easter and watched it last night. A great story about never giving up on your dreams and simply playing a sport because you love it! We didn't know how much of an important movie this was until the end! We check out some of the bonus features and found out that Francis Ouimet basically single handedly changed the sport to where the amateur player could play and be respected, instead of just the upper class! Also learned about Harry Vardon, a international golf celebrity, and easily one of the game's most influential players. His record of 6 British Open Championships still stand today!!!
If you like true, positive stories and if you like golf, this movie is for you. We are glad we added it to our collection and will bring it out if anyone in PA would like to see it with us while we are visiting!!!!

Ice Age 2

We saw this movie on Sunday and thought it was pretty good. The kids stayed into it the whole time which means they liked it and it was good for the parents as well. Scat was a bigger part of the movie this time adding in a large part of the comic relief. Sid, Diego, and Manny were just as funny as the first movie and there were a few additions to the cast of this movie. Ellie played by Queen Latifah, Crash played by Seann William Scott, Eddie played by Josh Peck, and Fast Tony played by Jay Leno!!!! It's worth checking out in the theater especially if you save like us. We had two of the free kids tickets that come in the DVD's (Anastasia had one and the first Ice Age movie had the other one), so it saved us about $10. Some real funny parts to it and a good message as always! This one will be added to our collection when it hits the stores!!!! Also a great preview of a Tim McGraw film coming out soon called Flicka, where he plays a lead father of a family that owns a ranch and his daughter tries to catch a wild mustang on her own and then train it after her Dad (Tim) catches it and tells her to leave it alone!!! He is becoming quite the actor, for those of you that don't know he had a smaller role in Friday Night Lights, with Billy Bob Thorton. Enjoy the movie for those of you who check it out, and for those who want to wait, it would be worth buying in a few months!!!

Dreamer

“Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story” tells the story of a father who, for the love of his daughter, sacrifices almost everything to save the life of an injured racehorse and bring the promising filly back to her former glory. The film stars Kurt Russell (“Miracle”), Dakota Fanning (“War of the Worlds”) and Kris Kristofferson (“Lone Star”).

Ben Crane (Kurt Russell) was once a great horseman, whose gifts as a trainer are now being wasted on making other men’s fortunes.Sonador—called Sonya—was a great horse whose promising future on the racetrack is suddenly cut short by a career-ending broken leg. Considered as good as dead to her owner, who also happens to be Ben’s boss, Sonya is given to Ben as severance pay, along with his walking papers. Now, it will take the unwavering faith and determination of Ben’s young daughter, Cale (Dakota Fanning), to bring these two damaged souls together in a quest for a seemingly impossible goal: to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic. However, the true miracle might be that, in helping this injured horse, what they are actually healing is their own family.

Kristofferson stars as Ben Crane’s father, whose strained relationship with his son is bridged by their mutual hopes for Sonya. The main cast also includes Oscar® nominee Elisabeth Shue (“Leaving Las Vegas”), David Morse (“The Green Mile”), Freddy Rodriguez (HBO’s “Six Feet Under”), Luis Guzman (“Traffic”) and Oded Fehr (“The Mummy”).

We loved this movie, a great story on believing in what you can not see! Teaches you to go after your dream, even if you don't see it happening for you now, just go after it and along the way, if it is truly what God has planned for you, it will all happen for you. But, it starts with belief!!!

Chicken Little

We were able to get this on Tuesday and we had a chance to watch it yesterday!!! We loved it!!! The kids watched it two times in a row, and I believe to catch everything as far as the hidden jokes you need to watch it more then once!!!! A great story for parents, not just kids!!! It touches on how we should believe our kids even tough we might not be able to understand what they are talking about all the time. We should stick together and always let them know we are behind then 100% of the time, not just when they do something special or whenever we feel like it, all the time!!! I would have loved to see it in the theater, but time hasn't been on our side now that Tina is working! Definitely a keeper and one we will watch over and over again!

Back to a two car Family SOON!!!!

Tina's Dad has agreed for us to fix up and buy his '78 El Camino.

It has a 8 cyl. 305 engine, Automatic Trans, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Steering, After market wheels (w/oversize Rear Wheels), Air Lift Rear Shocks, with a Corvette Steering wheel, Cadillac Seats, and a Tow Hitch.

Mike, you'll be happy to know we (Tina & I) will be doing all the work on it!!!! It needs a new exhaust system from the manifold back, a battery, and some other touch up pieces! Jerry has the manifold, and the Catty for it, and as I type we are ordering a Flow master muffler and taking all the old pipes we took off to a guy that will be bending new pipes to match for $120 + ordering our muffler for us!!! We should have this all completed by this time next week. I will be driving to Shingle Spring to pick up a Window Regulator from a salvage yard that we need, on Monday. It's about 45 mins east of my work!!!! So inside of 2 weeks we should have the car running and ready for Tina to use for traveling back and forth to work!!!!

Chris Daughtry

His inspiration in music ranges from Richard Marx to Rob Thomas and he calls his wife his "Hero" in life. Chris is from McLeansville, NC and in 2006 tried out for American Idol - Season 5. Chris is currently in the top 12 of American Idol contestants. The show's finale is in May of 2006.
Below is the biography Chris posted on his old Absent Element band website:
Biography - Chris Daughtry
Age: 26

Status: Married
Wife: Deanna DaughtryWife Occupation: licensed massage therapist in Burlington, NCPreviously lived in: Mebane, NC

Cute Fact: Chris discovered his singing ability in algebra class

Quotage:
Chris Daughtry, 26
ON HIS WIFE, DEANNA: "When we got married, I took on the two kids as my own. So, you know, she was saying that she was scared that I was sacrificing my dream by doing that, and that she was just really excited that I'm still gettin' to live it -- even though I took on the married life and the family early, that I'm still able to live my dream."

ON REJOINING HIS BAND: "If it was up to me -- yes. But when it comes to doing contracts and being under a label, you know, it's not always up to the artist. I'd love to work with those guys, but if not, they understand that it's beyond my control."

THE BALD-HEAD-WITH-SIDEBURNS THING: "I think I started that look. I've been doing my sideburns like that for a couple of years now. It's kind of a trademark."
"I was told I could really sing when I was in 11th grade (I was 16), by my friend Robert. (I hope y'all have'nt been lying to me all these years). We had to write a song for class, so I forced myself to sing in front of him. I always enjoyed singing but never had the confidence that Robert gave me that day. We wrote a couple songs and I was hooked. I knew at that time, that's what I wanted to do with my life. He taught me some guitar chords and I took off from there. I've been in several bands but have never experienced the chemistry that Absent Element share. Though I've always enjoyed singing, I was never pushed until I was in a rock band. Therefore it took years to develop the strength and range it takes to deliver Absent Elements' screaming sound. My song writing comes straight from the heart. I write about my relationship with God, my wife (who inspires most of my lyrics) and other life experiences. If it did'nt happen to me, I can't effectively and honestly write about it. " - Chris Daughtry
