Finding Nemo!!!

WOW!!!! What an excellent show. We were able to take the kids to Finding Nemo show from Disney on Ice on Sunday, and it was great! We went all out on this one, 5th row back from the floor and about 15 rows back from the ice. We have never experienced Disney on Ice before, and we are happy we went! MaKayla was in awe, and a little scared at some parts, with some of the pyrotechnics. But all & all it was a good time. We were able to get them all some souvenirs. MaKayla getting a Nemo hat & cup, and a light up toy of some other characters, the boys got and Bruce light up toy and binoculars and a snorkel. Tina got a stuffed animal "Peach", the Star fish from the tank! They shortened the movie quite a bit, but added in songs and skating and the show lasted about as long as the movie! We are really glad the kids enjoyed themselves, and definitely recommend this to anyone of you that are or were thinking about taking your kids, or yourselves, to see this or any Disney On Ice feature!

Hoodwinked

We got a chance to get to the movies yesterday! Sunday & Monday's have become our family days, if and when we do something, because of Tina's job. This movie wasn't one we would normally see at the movies, but we wanted to do something with the kids, and we haven't been to the movies in a while. It was great, a twist to the Little Red Riding Hood story that you could never have thought of unless you had very developed imagination. Definitely one we will own on DVD when it comes out! It had all of us rolling in our seats. The funniest thing was that MaKayla was laughing so hard at parts; we couldn't help but crack up! Ranks right up there with Shrek with all of us. It truly does deserve all the hype it's gotten over the past few weeks, 5 thumbs up from the CA Clan!
As usual with all our postings click on the photo to go to the Hoodwinked site!

Get Motivated!!!

Tina and I got a chance to go to a seminar yesterday and here from some of the best when it comes to business! We got to it late because of an unexpected traffic mess and parking challenges, so we missed hearing from Tom Hopkins. We did hear from the great Zig Ziglar in the morning right before lunch and got some good advice about relationship building from him. It was good to hear some of the stuff we do in our relationship come from him, as things he and his wife "The Red Head" do in there's and have done for the past 50+ years of their marriage! So at lunch we found this restaurant that was a couple of blocks from the convention center, but wasn't busy yet! As we got seated, we looked around the place just to see if any of our PFS team was there and saw someone we didn't expect to see! Three tables away just eating lunch was Joe Montana and two guys he was caught up in conversation with. One of the guys had an ear piece in his ear, and we guessed it was a security guard that was part of the convention, or a body guard of his! So we got up the nerve to do what everyone in the restaurant wanted to do and made our way over to him to meet him and get his autograph. The after lunch we got to hear him speak at the event!!!! I was truly a once in a life time experience for the both of us and will help us remember that day, and everything we learned there, forever.

Olympic Symbols

Olympic Rings
In 1913, Baron Pierre de Coubertin came up with the idea for the symbol most closely associated with the Olympics, the Olympic Rings. Every rings stands for one of the five continents. Although there are seven continents, Antarctica is excluded and North America and South America are considered one. The connection of the rings symbolizes the connection of the continents during the Games and the ideal of peace and brotherhood of the whole planet. The flag was first flown at the 1920 Olympic Games in Belgium. After each Olympics the flag is passed on to the new host city, where it is kept safe until it is flown, during the Olympics. The original Olympic flag was used until 1984, when Seoul presented a new flag to the IOC, made of Korean silk.
Olympic Torch
Beginning in 1934, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) introduced the Olympic flame with the idea that it would enrich the games. The torch-relay, starting with the flame lighting at ancient Olympia and arriving at the hosting city, would be a strong link between the ancient Olympic sites and the modern Olympic cities. The flame symbolizes the purity which embodies the eternal youth of the Olympic philosophy. The universal symbol of the flame would lead all competitors to understand that it is necessary to work towards the lasting unity of mankind.

Supercross

We rented this and Corps Bride this weekend! We liked this, hot at the top of our list of great movies, but it was good. Great story on not giving up on your dreams and sticking together with your family. A lot of racing in the movie, more so then other movies that are based on a sport. They spend too much time telling a story then showing the sport in detail, but this movie the spend a good amount of time on showing the racing, the work behind that goes into each race, and the good and bad sides to doing it for a living! We felt it was worth renting, but I wouldn't buy it!

Super Bowl XL

What a great game! We got a chance to spend some time with her parents, Jeff & Sara, and all the kids and watch a great game unfold. I was happy to see the Steelers win, not just because their from PA, but I've liked Bill Cowher for a long time and always wanted to see his hard work pay off, and this year it did. Tina and her parents were hoping for the Seahawks to pull through, but they just couldn't seem to keep the momentum on there side of the ball. So, until next year when we can see how the season plays out, hopefully the Eagles get in their and win there first every Super Bowl title!
