Lowe's and Customers Donate
MOORESVILLE, N.C., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lowe's customers have responded to calls for donations for those affected by Hurricane Katrina by contributing an unprecedented $3 million in eight days to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in Lowe's stores nationwide. Including Lowe's match of up to $2 million, the company and its customers have raised more than $5 million for Red Cross disaster relief. Lowe's activated its in-store customer donation program on Monday, August 29 at all of its more than 1,125 stores nationwide, and will continue accepting donations throughout the month of September.Continued....
